The Ski Instructors of Alta Badia: Ambassadors of South Tyrolean Culture and Wine

South Tyrol, and in particular Alta Badia, has become one of the most sought-after destinations for those looking for a holiday that combines nature, sports, and an exceptional food and wine experience. Visitors to this area love to indulge in the flavors of Ladin cuisine and the refined dishes offered by local restaurants and mountain huts, all accompanied by a glass of South Tyrolean wine.

Our ski instructors had the opportunity to take part in a training course organized by the South Tyrol Wine Consortium in collaboration with the Sommelier Association. Starting from the basics of wine tasting, the course delved into various aspects of local viticulture and the differences and characteristics of the region’s wines. This experience has helped the instructors gain a deeper understanding of the wine world, making them true experts in both the wines and the culture of South Tyrol.

The goal of this initiative is to assist guests not only on the slopes but also during their breaks in the mountain huts, always with a special focus on high-quality and responsible wine tasting.

Thanks to the Ski Wine Ambassadors, lovers of skiing and winter holidays with a taste for fine wines now have a new partner to discover a more enjoyable and engaging way to experience the winter season.
